MEET JOE WORTHY
TUSCALOOSA PHOTOGRAPHER
I am someone who loves to preserve moments. I used to not be a big fan of change because I was so happy with the places I was at in that time of my life. Life does move on and our circumstances change, but that doesn’t mean we have to let go of those moments we love so much. That’s why I started doing photography, so I can capture those moments for people and they can have the ability to look back and cherish where they’ve been in order to get to where they are.
The season of life that I am currently in is definitely one i hope to cherish forever. I am married to the love of my life, Rhi, and we are growing our family with a baby girl on the way. We also have a playful lab mix named Dixie who always keeps us on our toes.
We just moved from Tuscaloosa to nearby Gordo and we love spending our time with family, traveling when we can (especially to Universal Studios in Orlando), and complaining about our favorite sports teams.
THE CRAFT
I am a believer in the effectiveness of simplicity. There’s nothing like a beautiful location and natural sunlight. You will get a gallery of images that are sharp and well-crafted without making them look over-processed.
THE EXPERIENCE
Photoshoots should never feel like a high-stress situation, it should feel more like hanging out and getting to meet each other. My goal is to create an environment where you can be completely comfortable and you can be yourself.
THE PURPOSE
Photography is more to me than taking pictures to showcase just how good someone looks, to me, it’s all about capturing a moment in time that you can look back on down the line and remember how life was at that point in your life.
SOME FUN FACTS TO GET TO KNOW ME
01. interesting sports geography
I love sports and I am kind of all over the country with my favorite teams. I am a Buffalo Bills fan, Los Angeles Lakers fan, and Washington Nationals fan (I inherited the Nationals from my wife)
02. love for star wars
I am a massive Star Wars fan, but my wife surprised me on our wedding day by walking down the aisle to Anakin and Padmé’s love theme without any recommendation from me to do so.
03. chef in progress
Since my wife has been pregnant, I set a goal to cook more meals for us to take allow her to relax more. So far, so good and she’s liked every meal I have made (at least it seems that way)
